This 1968 Shelby GT-350 Convertible #2197 sold new at El Paso Auto Center and was purchased almost new by our customer’s Mom in July of 1969. Wimbledon White, black interior, white power top. 47,000 original miles. Original 302 4V with it’s original smog equipment, Toploader 4 speed and 3:89 gear. Engine was removed years ago for detailing, along with engine compartment and chassis painting by present owner. Original clutch. Car was repainted in Sikkens paint at that time and has rarely been outside since. Drivetrain is original and has never been apart. Only fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel sending unit, battery & basic maintenance items have been replaced. Original interior (except carpet & driver’s seat cover), glass, top, top boot, wheels, hub caps, seat covers, seat belts, spare tire, trunk mat, jack, etc. Never any rust. All original body panels.
This GT-350 was purchased by our customer from his Mom in 1979. He still owns the car today. It was her light use family car from 1969 to 1979 in Denver. Same family ownership for 37 years. Documentation includes original Colorado title (with Mom & Son’s names), Marti Report and build sheet. One of 404 produced, one of 162 in this color combination. More rare than a Shelby KR Convertible for about 1/2 the price.

Hagerty Price Guide #29 for April 2016 says #2 condition is $130,000. When was the last time you saw a white one.....with a 4 speed!
