More often than you might think, we are fixing mistakes from previous restorations or body shops. This is crucial for keeping and increasing the value of a classic car. When we media blast a car and find terrible work, we fix it. It's that simple. Our goal is that in 100 years, when the car is stripped again, the restorers believe that what they see is factory work.
This incredible 1963 Split-Window Corvette Fuelie came to us after one of the knock-offs tore through the left rear quarter. And yes, it's not metal repair, it's fiberglass - good catch!
Our first task was to remove the shredded quarter panel and begin fitting the replacement piece.
Next the fitted piece was glued into place and clamped for curing.
After further bodywork, the quarter was epoxy-primed in preparation for paint.
After clearcoat and some serious polishing, our perfectly-matched repair and paint is basically invisible.
