This 1966 Jaguar E-type roadster had a nice paint job several years ago. However, the engine bay wasn't repainted to match the color, and was in rough shape.
We started by dropping the engine to gain better access.
Next, we prepped the firewall and front frame trellis as well as taping off things like badging and conduits.
Every detail was either prepped or covered to avoid overspray.
The car was then taken into the paint booth, where the body color was matched perfectly. We sprayed new paint, then got to work rebuilding.
Other components were replaced, some being refurbished prior to re-installation.
The engine was then replaced, also having been visually freshened-up.
Finally, the everything was put back in place, and now the engine bay looks as good as the rest of this beautiful Jaguar.
We had this stunning time-capsule of a 912E in the shop. It had original paint that showed some 'blushing' or varnish haze. It was the only issue this original car had. Look closely at this panel.
Our team was able to buff and polish the extremely thin paint back to perfection - here is the after pic.
Same 'blushing' here in front of the headlight.
Here is the same spot - perfectly clear now.
Once again, more of the strange original varnish ripple.
Same spot - ripples removed by our detailing team.
This brand-new classic came to us to get detailing usually done by the dealer. First step is to tape off sensitive areas.
we then brought out the potential of the paint. At the same time, we helped to document the vehicle completely.
Here, you can see how meticulous the work was. The result was a completely street and show-ready Shelby.
This highly optioned 427 Corvette just needed a good detail to bring it back to show winning quality!
Buffing a car like this requires a lot of cautionary work in protecting the incredibly valuable pieces that cannot be replaced or are original. Paint measurements were taken and the whole car was then masked up.
The paint needed to be leveled and swirls removed so a heavy buff was required.
Some shops like to skimp on buffing some parts of the car they think you won't see. We take pride in our work so everything is polished to perfection.
All of the imperfections are now removed and the car absolutely shines from every angle!
The car was absolutely gleaming and this detail was exactly what it needed!
Every aspect of the car being detailed and polished results in an overall better detail, something we take great pride in!
On a car like this its very important to keep it in tip top condition so it will stay in great condition for much longer which also in turn helps boost its value!
