The 964 series was one of the most popular Porsche models, combining an overhead cam air-cooled engine with up-to-date suspension technology along with improved air-conditioning and drivability. A great many were built as C4 AWD versions and even more as cabriolets, so a C2 sunroof coupe is kind of a rare bird these days. Even more rare is finding one in good colors with low mileage! This three-owner C2 has only 51K miles and has spent its life in Colorado and Oklahoma, free from Midwest salt problems and still has the original owner’s books with it.
We have an accident-free CarFax report that shows gradual mileage progression to the current reading, suggesting an easy life as a weekend pleasure driver instead of a day-to-day commuter. The paint and leather are in quite nice condition, showing little evidence of use. It has the desirable 5-speed and was optioned with Porsche crest wheel caps and full leather interior. The OEM sound system has been replaced with an upgraded Alpine receiver with trunk-mounted amp & CD changer. The car has also received some mild performance upgrades, including new springs & 4-wheel alignment, plus a lightweight RS clutch assembly and Stage 1 chip, augmented by a great-sounding tuned exhaust system and the signature Porsche whaletail.
Nothing provides a traditional Porsche experience like a rear-drive, air cooled 911!
