This exceptional 1967 Shelby GT500 “Eleanor” is a truly one-of-a-kind restomod, meticulously reimagined by Farland Classic Restoration. Originally one of just 44 cars built by Unique Performance following the release of Gone in 60 Seconds, this example has been transformed far beyond its already iconic status. At its heart, the original big-block has been replaced with a 5.2L Ford Aluminator engine—an advanced, naturally aspirated powerplant derived from Ford’s track program, delivering 580 horsepower at 7,800 RPM and 445 lb-ft of torque. Featuring a flat-plane crank, the engine produces a distinctive, exotic exhaust note reminiscent of a European supercar, paired with a deeper American growl. Extensive custom fabrication was required to integrate the engine, including hand-built metalwork throughout the engine bay, along with a Detroit Speed front suspension and aluminum subframe that dramatically elevate the car’s handling capabilities.

Beyond performance, the craftsmanship continues with refined bodywork and subtle custom touches, including smoothed panel fitment and a bespoke metallic paint that reveals its depth in sunlight. Inside, the car blends heritage with modern comfort, featuring updated gauges, air conditioning, and a robust five-speed transmission built to handle the added power. A signature detail includes a dash autographed by Carroll Shelby, tying the build back to its legendary roots. For those seeking even more exhilaration, a discreetly integrated nitrous system adds an extra edge.
