Opt out of targeted advertising

We do not sell personal data. We do not exchange it for money, and we do not give it to data brokers. We do use analytics and advertising cookies. Under the Colorado Privacy Act, you can opt out of targeted advertising and of any cookie sharing that could be treated as a sale.

Use either method. You do not need an account.

  • Email Info@farlandcars.com with the subject line Privacy request. Say that you want to opt out, and include the email or phone number we would already have. This covers you personally, including contact details you have already given us. You can also mail the request to 3800 S Kalamath St, Englewood, CO 80110, Attention: Privacy.
  • Or use the browser control below. It applies to this browser for one year and is stored in a first-party cookie named farland_ads_opt_out. If your browser sends a universal opt-out signal, including Global Privacy Control, we treat that as an opt-out of sale and targeted advertising. We honor the signal automatically. We do not ask you to log in or confirm it.

Information we collect

Farland Classic Restoration is a classic-car restoration and sales shop at 3800 S Kalamath St, Englewood, CO 80110. This notice covers visitors to this website, people who message the shop, and customers, consignors, and inquirers. It describes our online and offline practices.

Google is a separate controller of information it processes when you use Google Search, Maps, or Google’s messaging service. Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) describes that processing. The terms of service cover use of the site and the messaging channel.

Contact details and messages

When you write, call, or use a form, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the message itself. Forms on this site ask for those details so we can reply. Website chat, if the chat window is available, collects the same kind of conversation.

We use this information to answer you, follow up on the inquiry you started, and keep a record of it. We store form submissions in our inquiry database and email them to the shop. We do not sell this information, and we do not use your messages, forms, or phone number to build advertising audiences.

Vehicle and project details

You may tell us about a car and the work you want: year, make, model, condition, timeline, the service you are interested in, a budget range if you choose to share one, and whether you want to consign or sell a car. You may attach photos or videos. We email those files to the shop with the inquiry so we can see the car. We do not publish your photos, name, or story unless you agree.

We use these details to understand the car and to prepare a conversation, an estimate, or a sale. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for targeted advertising.

Shop and transaction records

If we work together, we keep the records that job requires. That can include billing details, a VIN, title information, invoices, authorizations, and a driver’s license when a test drive, delivery, or title transfer requires it. Card payments are taken at the shop or through our payment processor. We do not ask you to type a card number into this website.

We use these records to do the work you asked for, get paid, and keep tax, warranty, and title records. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for targeted advertising.

Device and usage data

When you browse the site, our host and, unless you have opted out, our analytics and advertising tools receive technical data. That includes IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the time of the visit, and an approximate location derived from the IP address. Cookie identifiers can recognize a browser across visits and, until you opt out, across other sites.

We use this data to run and protect the site, to see which pages are useful, and to measure or show advertising. We do not sell it for money. Until you opt out, advertising partners may use it for targeted advertising. We do not use personal data for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, such as a decision about credit, insurance, housing, or employment.

Information we do not collect on purpose

We do not ask for a Social Security number, a full payment card number, a bank account number, or a password in a form or a Google message. Please do not send those. We do not knowingly process sensitive data as Colorado defines it, including health information, biometric identifiers, precise GPS location, or personal data of a child under 13. If you include something we do not need, we delete it when we see it.

Forms include a hidden field that people are not asked to fill in. We use it only to filter automated spam, and we discard it.

Messaging

If you message us from our Google Business Profile, including by RCS or another Google messaging surface, we receive the message and any name or phone number that channel provides. An automated assistant may reply first, using information we have published about the shop, such as services, hours, and location. A person at Farland can read the thread and continue it.

We use the conversation to respond, to keep a record of what you asked, and to follow up on that inquiry. We share it with staff who are handling the inquiry and with the services that deliver it, including Google. Google handles its copy under its own privacy policy. We do not sell messaging content, and we do not let anyone use it to target ads.

You can stop by leaving the thread. If we ever send a message you did not ask for, reply STOP and we will stop. The terms of service explain what an automated reply can and cannot promise.

Messages you send us on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube are also received by that platform, under its own terms and privacy policy.

Cookies

  • Opt-out cookie. If you use the browser control on this page, we store farland_ads_opt_out for one year so this browser remembers the choice. That cookie is not an advertising cookie.
  • Chat. If the chat window is available, the chat provider uses cookies to keep that conversation going. The advertising opt-out does not turn chat off. Chat cookies are not used to show you ads.
  • Analytics and advertising. Unless you have opted out, we load Google Analytics and Google advertising tags, and we may load a Meta pixel. They may be loaded through Google Tag Manager. They measure visits and ads, and they can be used for targeted advertising.

When you opt out on this page, or when your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we do not load analytics or advertising tags. You can also control cookies in your browser. Blocking every cookie may limit chat or the opt-out memory on this device. The email method above still works.

Who we share it with

We share personal data with the following kinds of recipients, only for the purposes in this policy:

  • People at the shop who need the information to answer you or to do the work.
  • Our website host, which keeps technical logs of requests. Those logs can include IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. Troubleshooting logs for a form can include the name, email, phone number, and project fields you entered. The main message text is redacted in those logs.
  • Our inquiry database, which stores the form submission, and our email service, which delivers that submission to the shop.
  • Our website chat provider, when the chat window is available. The provider stores the transcript, and our staff can read it.
  • Google, for analytics, advertising measurement, Business Profile, and messaging, when those tools are in use.
  • Meta, for advertising measurement, when that tag is allowed to load.
  • Our marketing partner, which can access the analytics and advertising accounts. That access does not include your form messages.
  • Our payment processor, when you pay the shop.
  • Professional advisors, a buyer of the business, or an authority, when we need the disclosure to complete a transaction, protect someone, or comply with law.

We do not sell personal data to these parties. Service providers are allowed to use it only to perform the service we asked them to perform, except where Google or a social platform acts as its own controller, as described above.

How long we keep it

  • Inquiry and message records that do not become a job are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or de-identified.
  • Records of a repair, restoration, storage, consignment, or sale are kept for the life of that relationship. Where Colorado’s Motor Vehicle Repair Act applies, we keep the work order for at least three years. We keep records longer when a warranty, a title, a tax rule, or a dispute requires it.
  • Records of privacy requests, and what we did with them, are kept for at least 24 months.
  • The advertising opt-out cookie lasts one year unless you clear it sooner. Analytics cookies follow the provider’s retention until you opt out and they stop being set.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a shop of our size. No website or inbox is perfectly secure. If a breach involves personal information covered by Colorado’s breach notification law, we will notify the people and authorities that law requires.

Colorado privacy rights

Colorado residents have the following rights under the Colorado Privacy Act. We honor the same requests from anyone else who contacts the shop.

  • Opt out of targeted advertising.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data.
  • Opt out of profiling used for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use personal data that way.
  • Access the personal data we have about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete personal data, subject to the exceptions below.
  • Receive a portable copy of personal data you provided to us.

We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you exercised these rights.

We may keep information we still need to complete a transaction you asked for, to honor a warranty, to meet a tax or title duty, to prevent fraud, or to establish or defend a legal claim. If we decline to delete something for one of those reasons, we will tell you.

How to make a request

You can use any of these methods. None of them requires an account.

  1. Opt out in this browser with the control at the top of this page, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We detect the signal and do not load analytics or advertising tags. No confirmation step is required.
  2. Email Info@farlandcars.com with the subject line Privacy request. Name the right you want to use: access, correction, deletion, a copy, or opt-out. Tell us the email address or phone number we would already have, so we can find the right record.
  3. Mail the same information to 3800 S Kalamath St, Englewood, CO 80110, Attention: Privacy.

An authorized agent may send an opt-out for you. The message should include your name, the agent’s name and contact information, and your signed permission. For access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data, write to us yourself, or include legal authority such as a power of attorney.

We may ask you to confirm that you control the email address or phone number on the record. We ask only for what we need to match the request to the right person. A universal opt-out signal does not require this step. If we cannot authenticate a request, we will say what is missing, and we will not release data until we can.

We respond within 45 days. If a request is complex, we will tell you why and may take one additional period of up to 45 days.

Appeals

If we decline a request, we will explain why. You, or your agent, may appeal by emailing Info@farlandcars.com with the subject line Privacy appeal, or by replying to our decision. Tell us what you want reconsidered. We answer in writing within 45 days. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you that you may contact the Colorado Attorney General (opens in a new tab).

Children

This site is for adults who own, buy, sell, or commission work on cars. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email Info@farlandcars.com and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We will post changes on this page and change the date at the top. If we start using messaging data for a new purpose, we will update this notice before we rely on that purpose. The date on this page is the effective date.
