1962 BMW Isetta 300

$39,500

This car is here as part of Farland's archive and proof of work.

The most powerful of the single-door Isettas, this 300 has benefitted from a comprehensive restoration on a particularly solid original example.

The body shell has no evident rust and has been refinished in a red & white two-tone popular when new.

The later Isettas like this had convenient sliding widows along with the larger-displacement engine, sunroof and better lights.

It even has the optional turn signals!

Hydraulic brakes & fully-synchronized transmission make the car fun to drive, although somewhat unconventional (The former owner is a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and said driving the Isetta was a similar experience!).

Fully road-legal, the car can cruise at 45 mph and is titled like any other car.

Previously kept in the Carolinas, the car has not been exposed to salt or outdoor storage.

Best of all, the BMW engine has just been completely overhauled by an Isetta specialist, along with a rebuild of the transmission, totaling $3800.

The car has new tires and our shop has restored the complete brake system & dash electrics, plus installed new upholstery in the correct original material & color.

In addition, an all-new wiring harness, voltage regulator & battery have been fitted.

A minicar is a fun addition to any car collection and a great counterpoint to your Ferraris, Porsches or muscle cars!

Friends will beg to drive it, which is an experience never forgotten.
