The classic 560SL was the final version of Mercedes-Benz’s landmark 107 series ‘coupe/roadster.’ It featured always-admired styling, typical Mercedes engineering and all the mechanical upgrades made over the years, evolving a bulletproof 5.6 liter V8 drivetrain, effective A/C, driver’s airbag and ABS brakes.
They are fabulous, reliable cars capable of high-speed cruising that can be easily serviced in any city and have modern safety features—plus that year-round capability with a snug hardtop.
Many 560SLs are well past a quarter-million miles today, but this Florida car still has only 92K—one family had it for 18 years.
