Bentley’s Azure convertible has been a popular sister car to the Rolls-Royce Corniche, because without Rolls’ trademark ‘Parthenon’ grille shell, the Azure is considered less pretentious.
Otherwise, they are essentially the same car, but the Bentley has always had a more ‘sporting’ nature, with firmer ride, alloy wheels and blackwall tires.
This ’97 model is powered with a 6.75 liter intercooled turbo V8 providing nearly 400 horsepower and huge torque.

The design was so successful that the car remained basically unchanged through 2003.
This Azure lived in Florida originally, but then spent the next dozen years in Palm Springs, always receiving regular, documented dealer servicing.

Having never been in the midwest, the undercarriage is clean and rust-free, the beautiful Peacock Blue paint is very nice, the original Parchment leather interior is lovely and the walnut veneers are in good nick.
Recently the steering rack was rebuilt at the SoCal shop that serviced the car for years.
Factory options included dark blue carpets with matching piping on the seats plus a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
